New Exhibition in Honour of Albert Johannesson

A new exhibition in honour of Albert Johanneson, the former Leeds United Player who died 10 years ago this week, opens at the Leeds Co-op food store in Beeston on Tuesday 27th September.

Albert Johanneson was the first Black player to appear in an FA Cup final at Wembley, for Leeds United against Liverpool in 1965, and this new exhibition by Paul Eubank celebrates his life.

The exhibition has been arranged by Leeds United Supporters’ Trust, as part of its ongoing commitment to local community support, in partnership with Leeds Co-operative Society, and ties in with the Kick it Out campaign to kick racism out of football.
