'Lost Generation' Update - Press Release

Jan. 12th, 2007

Leeds United Supporters Trust has warmly welcomed today's news that the club intend to reduce the prices of Match Day tickets for children from £10 down to £8.

A L.U.S.T. spokesman said that "The 'Lost Generation' survey that we carried out in September last year had indicated that the average price that supporters were prepared to pay for kids Match Day Tickets was in the region of £8. At a subsequent meeting with our Directors and the Leeds United Chairman he had not indicated that he would consider our findings so we have no way of knowing if the survey results had any influence on his decision. However regardless of the reason for the about turn the fact that it has happened is the important issue".

A spokesman for the trust added: "We at LUFC Trust feel that this is a very positive step made by the club. We hope that this cheaper ticketing strategy will allow even more Leeds United fans the opportunity to purchase a ticket and support their team for the upcoming fixture against QPR on Tuesday 20th February".

The spokesman continued "It is up to those supporters who asked for this reduction to now step up to the plate and support the team – who are in need of every cheer that they can get in order to help to climb away from the relegation places".
